Maria Husain, M.D. serves as President of EyeCare Centers of Texas, P.A. and is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmic physician and surgeon.

Born in Chicago, Dr. Husain grew up in Tarpon Springs, Florida. After graduating as valedictorian of her high school, she attended the University of South Florida where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. She went on to attend medical school at the University of South Florida, where she served as the president of her class. She then completed her training in internal medicine and ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

In her personal practice, Dr. Husain specializes in refractive cataract surgery and always strives to present eye findings in an understandable manner, so patients can be their own best advocates.

In addition to publishing book chapters on many eye related topics and presenting her research at academic meetings, Dr. Husain enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family in their hometown of Dallas, TX.
